Once EU funded projects join forces, it's all of us having the greatest benefit.
The Bioart Gallery concept was conceived back in 2016 through the collaboration of the BIOWAYS and BIOSTEP projects. It includes 60 artistic pictures representing the most promising bio-based feedstock and the explanation of the related applications in everyday life.
In the context of the BIOVOICES project it was produced and first exposed at the 2018 edition of FESTIVALFUTURO in Milan, Italy.
Now, during the Biobridges project, the Gallery has moved to Portugal at the premises of LIPOR!
LIPOR is responsible for the management, recovery and treatment of the municipal waste produced in the eight associated municipalities: Espinho, Gondomar, Maia, Matosinhos, Porto, Póvoa de Varzim, Valongo and Vila do Conde.
On 22 May 2019, 3 years later, the Bioart Gallery was inaugurated in conjuction with with World Biodiversity Day at LIPOR's headquarter and hosted more than 50 participants!
The exhibition will be permanent for all the summer and is being visited by young students from the schools of the Porto region.
